On 24 July 2019, a delegation from the Région Centre Val de Loire visited the MUSE GRIDS demosite of Oud-Heverlee in Brussels, Belgium.
The MUSE GRIDS demosite of Oud-Heverlee has received a special visit on 24 July 2018. Consortium partner Th!nk-e, who is in charge of the site for MUSE GRIDS and other EU and Flemish projects, hosted a group of French regional officials in their premises, where many of the concrete actions of MUSE GRIDS happen.
The delegation got the chance to physically see some of the installations for thermal and solar storage and listen to a presentation about energy communities and the MUSE GRIDS project. Th!nk-e specialists gave a broad overview of what these communities are, going through the technical, financial and societal challenges they pose – as well as the advantages they can bring in these areas.
Participants of the visit were enthusiastic and engaged. They were accompanied by Consortium partner EASE, who also organised the visit. MUSE GRIDS will be glad to receive other delegations or representatives in the future!
